Jawahar Lal Nehru, also dearly remembered as chacha Nehru amongst children was very fond of roses too, he always used to carry one in his jacket.
On this day, children of various age groups come together in the celebratory spirit of enjoyment and share their joy with each other by participating in various social and cultural activities. They indulge in fulfilment of social causes such as helping the poor and needy and also conduct various stage shows and skits. The active participation of children is ensured by their teachers and parents who are willing to dedicate an entire day to celebrate these beautiful lives.
Often, cakes, sweets and chocolates are distributed to children to make their memories of the day even happier. Various trusts and NGOs participate actively to bring joy to the faces of lesser privileged children and sponsor their activities and education. The fragrance of rose combined with the sweetness of treats together symbolizes the sweet and loving nature of kids and their importance in society.
