On 26th January every year, the entire Indian population celebrates the day when the constitution of India effectively came into existence, which is named as the “republic day”. It is the very moment when India truly attained the republic status and swore to the constitution created by Dr. Ambedkar.
It was exactly 21 years from the declaration of “purna swaraj” that on 26th December 1950 India got its true democratic form. The entire republic day celebration is held under the wings of the “President of India” who is also the head of all the three forces.
The main feature of this day on a national level is the Republic day parade where India shows its mantle in defense and all the three section, the army, the navy and the air force comprising of their various regiments and squadrons put their foot forward in synchronism to make the world stand and take notice of our capabilities.
Republic day events are held across public organizations, schools, colleges and various societies with various cultural events and the flag hoisting ceremony. The entire Republic day parade is rounded off with the beating retreat.
